NYC Weekend Itinerary for You & Your Sister!
Should you and your sister go to NYC for the weekend? DUHHHHH!
In honor of today being my sister’s birthday (Happy Birthday Madi <3), I want to share the perfect NYC weekend with your sister!
$$$- price range
RES- if you should make a reservation or buy a ticket in advance
Friday:
5pm: Head over to Fotografiska!!!! My absolute favorite gallery in NYC. Get a glass of wine at the bar downstairs and take it with you throughout the gallery. It is such a vibe with great art and a DJ downstairs on Fridays. VIBE! Start your night here $$
7:30pm: Dinner at Barbounia! It is right across the street from Fotografiska, so no rush in getting over there. The Basilika is the BEST cocktail on the menu- get a few. Very girls night vibe restaurant and the food is amazing, no matter what you get $$, RES
10pm: If you and your sister are still down for a nightcap, head over to Dear Irving on Gramercy Speakeasy. It is in a brown stone with a tiny sign and is easy to miss. The address and all information is on the website with the link above to find it. They close at 2am on Fridays. It is a fun, girly, speakeasy vibe. I love this bar. RES (reservation to get a table for sure. They are busy on weekends so it might be best. It only sucks because they do have a cancellation fee if you don’t go….. But if you can’t get in, good news it is NYC and there is another place to get a drink or maybe it is a sign from God to go back to the hotel <3) $$
Midnight: Night night! You have a big day tomorrow!
Saturday:
10am: Grab a coffee at Ariston Flower and Cafe by Union Square. It is a beautiful flower shop and cafe $
11:30am: Time for facials! Glowbar is an amazing facial salon right across the street from Ariston Cafe. It is $75 for a very tailored facial to you. You have a little consultation with your esthetician so they know what to work on and then you have one of the best mini facials you have ever had. I am a member- I go once a month and I am obsessed RES- reservation for sure, $$
12pm: Walk over to the Union Square Farmers Market!!!! This is my favorite market. It is so cute and has soooo many things. Either grab a juice, some flowers, some fruit or some art. This is a very local New York thing to do and one of my favorite things to do on a Saturday FREE
1:30pm: Grab some lunch to go from either DIG, Cava or even Whole Foods across the street and bring it to a table or middle of the park in Union Square Park and enjoy $
2:30pm: Time to drink! Grab a bottle of wine or champagne with some plastic cups or beer in a bag and walk over to Washington Square Park. You can get this at a bodega or there is a wine store called “Some Good Wine” on your walk from Union Square Park to Washington Square Park. Washington Square Park is a sight to see. Grab a bench and just people watch and have some drinks- trust me $
3:30pm: Head back to hotel to get ready for drinks and dinner!
5pm: CHEERS! Time for champagne at Champers!!!! Such a girly and fun vibe. A champagne bar for the girlies and their photos!!! Have a glass of champagne or a flight of champagne before walking over to dinner! $$
7pm: Dinner at the Canary Club! They have live jazz during dinner and killer, shareable small plates for dinner. Cocktails are to die for and it is such a cute New York vibe and evening! $$, RES
9pm: Down for an after dinner drink? Head over to Balthazar for an espresso martini at the bar. If full, ask to sit outside. If not, the wait normally is not long at the bar. But if too full, head back to Champers around the corner LOL $$
11pm: Are y’all trying to go out????? Walk over to the Highlight Room rooftop above the Moxy Hotel. It has amazing views of NYC and a great sister photo op moment. Have so much fun girlies!!! $$
1am: Grab a drunk slice of pizza at Williamsburg Pizza Lower East Side (one block from the Highlight Room) before going back to hotel!!!! They close at 4am on Fridays and Saturdays!!! $
Sunday:
9:30am: You bitches are hungover!!! Grab a coffee and a bagel (either H&H, Ess-A-Bagel, Pick-a-Bagel) to eat in Central Park to recover $
12pm: Head down south of Manhattan to Happy Medium art studio to enjoy the Art Cafe. It is a unique experience where you order art to do from a menu, like a bar but art instead of alcohol (because y’all have had enough for the weekend)! $, RES
